Whisky, Whiskey everywhere – too much to drink?

In this article we take a close look at some super interesting data from the TTB (Alcohol, Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau) which we stumbled across last week courtesy of the excellent Whisky Decision (https://whiskey-decision.beehiiv.com/). They showed inventory data for US whiskey along with production and consumption numbers. We wanted to take a close look at this as we have speculated that the wider industry issues faced by many whiskey producers are due to excess production and maturing inventory rather than any real lack of consumption.
